Monster Hunter: Tri

Welcome to the thread for discussing the game, Monster Hunter: Tri.

The game is due out on this Friday (23rd April) and has received great reviews from people who have had the chance to play it already, including scoring a perfect score in a respected Japanese games magazine, Famitsu.

IMO it looks awesome and my dad says I'll get it I cut all the grass (which takes a long time.)

Dunno, but ONM never complained about the length so I guess it's not short.

You can put hundreds of hours into it, it's the kind of game you can just keep playing and playing. That's what I understand from things I've heard about it anyway...

Also, got an e-mail from GAME this morning telling me that they've dispatched my order Very Happy

50+ hours Offline, and potentially thousands online, seeing as Capcom are updating quests, and you have a chance to do fudgeloads of them.

I guess you're new to Monster Hunter too, so It will probably take you longer, but that's no bad thing.

I'll be getting this from Amazon on Launch day, so we could arrange some Online activities soon after?

I won't be jumping on Online soon mind, Gonna get decent weaponry first, and Invest a fair bit of time Offline first. n_n

Also who here uses Wii speak?

Because, I do have It, but I'd rather use Skype. However, If needed, I will use Wii speak. If however, you prefer a keyboard to communicate with, That's fine too.

I can't really do any of those, the Wii is downstairs and I don't have Wii Speak D:

I'm new to the series as well, so I'm going to be playing a bit offline before I venture over to the online part of the game.

Meh, I tried one of the Monster Hunter games at my cousin's house. I found it pretty standard, nothing extraordinary but then it's not my type of game.

Yeah, but my dad wants this game too and I offered to pay him back when I got the money but he said he'd buy it if I cut the grass.

I need money. Badly. I want to get this game, as it looks great, but I owe my Mum 30euro(Of which, I have 20) I need to get a DVD Re-writer for my netbook(Which costs like, 50 euro) and I'm also thinking about getting SMG2. I also only get 5 euro pocket money a week. So basically, I'm screwed. xD

Well, you're given quests and stuff to do, so kinda yeah. Got it yesterday at GAME and started playing this morning. It's pretty awesome so far.
